50th reunion information

Save the dates for our 55th reunion: Friday, June 21- Sunday, June 23, 2019.
Below you will find the letter that the reunion planning committee will soon be mailing to all classmates, both by email (for those with email addresses on file with us, and by US Postal Mail to all). This letter is the only postal mail you will be receiving from us for our 55th reunion. Please return the enclosed response form to Sue Avery asap, and no later than June 1st, so that we have an accurate head count for the reunion activities. We hope to see a good turnout.

Dear Classmates,
Now is the time to finalize your plans for our 55th reunion: June 21-23, 2019. Please mail your reservation form and check today, but no later than June 1st.
Your reunion planning committee has been working hard to make sure that this reunion is as good as our 50th. We need your response to this letter so that we are sure to have a good head count for each of the reunion weekend events.

Friday, June 21, 2019
- Class golf outing at Bretwood Golf Course, Keene, NH. Rick Farnham is organizing this event. Greens fee plus golf cart is $53, payable at the golf course. - Evening meet and greet with appetizers, cash bar, on the porch at the Marina Restaurant, behind the old roller skating rink on Putney Road in Brattleboro, 5:30-8:30.
Saturday, June 22, 2019
- Alumni Golf Tournament, Brattleboro Country Club. If you are interested in participating please contact Michael Zaranek at the Brattleboro Country Club Pro Shop at 802-257-7380.
- Preparation for dinner event. Please let us know if you can help with the setup. Be sure to give us your contact information on the response form on page 3.
- 3:30-8:00. Class buffet dinner and socializing at the American Legion in Brattleboro.
- 3:30-5:30pm, drinks (cash bar), appetizers, and socializing.
- 5:30pm, buffet dinner, more socializing
- Music (not loud) from Farnham’s music archives and program activities
- 6:30pm, drawings for raffle prizes begins. Winning numbers will be posted prior to the end of the evening. We will have many wonderful prizes that have been donated for this raffle, with proceeds going to our class scholarship fund. Be sure to bring cash or check for purchase of raffle tickets.
- FYI, the BHS/BUHS Alumni Association Dance will be at the VFW, 8-12pm.
Sunday, June 23, 2019
- 9:30-noon. Send-off bagels/muffins, juice, fruit platter and coffee/tea. This year Jan Bennett has agreed to host our sendoff event at her house at 49 Lexington Ave. in Brattleboro.
Cost. The cost of the reunion will be $60 per person, which will cover the Friday evening meet and greet, the Saturday afternoon/evening buffet dinner, the Sunday morning send-off, and a reunion memento. If you cannot afford the cost of the reunion, but still want to attend, PLEASE let us know.
We are in need of help with setting up for the Saturday dinner event. If you can help please contact Sue Avery. She will be most appreciative.
Raffle to benefit class scholarship fund: Back by popular demand will be a benefit raffle. We have received many donations of quality items for this raffle. Items include quality works of art, crafts, gift certificates, gift baskets, and much more. Be sure to bring cash or check to purchase tickets for this raffle. Tickets will cost $5 each, five for $20, or fifteen for $50. Here is how the raffle will be run. There will be a bucket by each raffle prize. Place as many tickets as you like in the buckets of the prizes you like. Be sure to keep your ticket stubs. Winning numbers will be drawn and posted prior to the end of the evening. Good luck to everyone.
